Maria "Macy" Luna is a 22 year-old sound designer, sound editor, and audio engineer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She has a deep passion for bringing life into film and interactive media.Macy specializes in recording for ADR and foley, sound editing, sound design, and mixing.During her studies at Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts from 2023-2024, she has been equipped with the necessary knowledge of analogue and digital theory, and professional studio setups.

April 2024 - June 2024
Audio was downmixed from Dolby Atmos' 7.1.2 configuration to Stereo for Youtube.

This was a 10 minute animation that Macy created a full, redesigned soundtrack and was mixed in Dolby Atmos.The project is complete with recorded and edited foley and dialogue. Removed mouth noises and clicks from dialogue for improved clarity. Light background and room rumble removal from foley.The SFX was made with sound libraries (Pro Sound Effects, Hollywood Edge, and Boom Library), McDSP and Eventide effect plugins such as Futzbox and H910 Harmonizer.This was mixed in a treated studio with necessary equipment for mixing. Programs used are Pro Tools Ultimate (DSP w/ version 2024.3) and Dolby Atmos internal renderer.

This was a 3-minute trailer of Watchdogs that Macy created a full, redesigned soundtrack and was mixed in 5.1.Most of the coverage for the soundtrack was done in foley. Some of the glitches were designed elements that Macy have created. Extra coverage such as gunshots, body hits and ambience was done using Hollywood Edge and Boom Libraries.The narration was recorded with a Rode NTG3 and was edited on Pro Tools Ultimate (2024.3)
